I was browsing online the other day looking for a birthday present for my niece. I came across the Duktig felt vegetable playset from IKEA and thought Hey I could do something like that! So I set forth on my venture to make felt play vegetables. Here's how they turned out:
I like the potato and pea pod best!
Hopefully my niece will love it! Do you have any great felt projects? Let me know about them!
omg, these are so much fun! i would like to make a stuffed animal, inspired by uglydoll. do you suggest i use a pattern, or eyeball it? also what did you use for the stuffing in your veggies? should i use something similar? thanks for your help!
Hi Allie, I used poly-fil to stuff my veggies. I found it at Joann's but sure you can find it at any craft store. I actually saw a great blog about making a felt monster that looked a bit like an ugly doll and I wanted to try it, but haven't done it yet (http://members.chello.nl/p.ijzendoorn5/moshi-moshi/feltmonstertut/index.htm). If I get around to making it I will definitely post it here. Let me know how yours turns out, would love to see pics!
